Before you begin
You did it! You completed all of your pre-training and now it is time to get ready for camp! Camp is a fun time for us to gather together with students from all over the state who are passionate about reaching children for Christ. We work side by side in order to bring the gospel to our communities. It is a special time of encouragement, growth, and discipleship.
Steps to get ready for camp
- Email Patrol
Be on the lookout for emails from our CYIA coordinator. There will be information provided regarding travel times and dates, plans for meals, and other important information. YOU are responsible for making sure that you receive and read these emails. If your parent/guardian is the one receiving the emails, it is your responsibility to ask to read them. If you would like to be put on our CYIA email list, send an email to our CYIA Coordinator asking to be added.
- Communicate Conflicts and Questions
If you have any questions regarding camp travel plans or if the leaving time conflicts with your schedule somehow, contact our CYIA coordinator, Ms. Rita, as soon as possible. Her contact information can be found on our website. We want to do everything we can to make sure that you are able to come to camp with us! Help us out by communicating with us.
- Pack
Sometimes it can be hard to know what to pack for a camp. We have got you covered. Click on the links below to find a packing list and other helpful information about camp.
- Be on Time with Your Training Course Complete
You are all packed and ready to go. Now just make sure that you arrive at your pick-up location on time. The sooner you get here, the sooner we can load your luggage and leave for camp. Remember to come wearing a good attitude because we have a long ride ahead of us! As you get onto the bus, you will be asked if you have completed the summer course training (see phase 3 step 4) applicable to your role.
